Librarian Complete...

Ha! Well he is 99% complete. I just have to let the greenstuff under his foot dry so I can paint that up and then seal him with dullcote. I am happy with the way he turned out overall. Sadly my photo setup isn't the best so small details don't show as well like the sword which I tried something different on and it doesn't show up on camera. Oh well. Either way I am sure he will make his new owner very happy. I will take a night off to paint something different and then I will try to finish up the chaplain which isn't too hard. My goal is to have him complete by Thursday at the latest. I hope you guys like him!

  2. Awesome stuff! As the project comes together I get more and more excited - and I'm still thrilled to be a part of it.

Any objection to my posting the image in the Secret Weapon user gallery?

  3. If I might suggest, the Libby could do with a sword that stands out more. Something with a little flair. It looks a bit dull and drags my eye from the beautiful lighting you have. Make it something dramatic.

Anyways, fantastic model, great paintjob. good stuff

  4. This is an awesome model, but maybe I can make two suggestions.

I agree with Pastafarion that the sword needs more flare. It looks very dull at the moment and not something a powerful Librarian would carry. Maybe a nice blended glow effect?

Second, I think it would look awesome if his eyes were glowing blue. That would look so awesome!

Your painting is amazing and I am truly humbled by it. So I hope my suggestions can help!

  5. Thanks for the feedback everyone. The sword was the one thing that didn't sit as well with myself but I was afraid to over do it. Anyhow, after both Pastafarion's and Elizabeth's suggestion I will see what I can do to work some magic on the blade. As far as the eyes go it is very tempting, but I really like the contrast on his face and eyes right now. And with the way my hands have been shaking (I just finished painting a face on a 28mm Napoleonic Model for Historicon) I am leary I will do more damage to the face than make it look cool. But I do have a week to think on it more.

Thank you all for the compliments and feedback. And Mr. Justin, I will email you a better shot when all is finished with the model for your site if you like?
